Do you write dictionary definitions?
When I interned for my Master's.
I have a Ph.D., too. It isn't in "How people try to have arguments over the Internet they have no qualifications for", but I know someone who does. I use her research a lot.
I graduated from University on this topic. You copied a necessarily-simplified dictionary definition. I provided an in-depth description of how that definition, when taken as the prescriptivist limit of the topic, was oversimplifying the subject to the point of being useless to account for, oh, Eminem. Or even a Shakespearean sonnet. You burped "WRONG" and insulted me. Your insults turned out to not actually work in your favour. This is "todayilearned", and you can lead the horse to water, but you can't make the horse think.
