BlueSky should have a crowdfunding account. I honestly would toss $5 a month ($60 a year) to keep this site running and I think many, many others would, too.

I absolutely loathe adverts and think an advert-free social media platform is worth $5 a month.

I still kind of wish they'd gone with the old livejournal model: keep it invitation only, but give everyone a small number of invites, and paying subscribers more invites. Slower, but sustainable growth, plus in-built revenue and giving people who want to support the site monetarily a little perk

I am vastly uncertain about the long term and/or recruitment goals they have — only that I am 100% sure that I'm done with services that treat my eyeballs as the product, and then shove violent hate speech in front of them.
