Well they're really coming out of the woodwork now.

Ladies and gentlespoons, another single issue obsessive transphobe account...

Seriously wondering if there is some kind of mechanism where you can just block all new accounts <14 days old and then unblock the ones that haven't been tagged for transphobia after say a month

Another Emily (@emilyatlast.bsky.social):

That would be great.

In the meantime I hope they're getting the traditional Bluesky welcome of crickets, followed by blocking, followed by more crickets.

I suspect a lot of them are the same people, getting zero traction on one account, knowing it's blocked a thousand times and just setting up a new account to start all over again

Ms. Penny Oaken, SkyWitch (@skywitches.net):

Data from other platforms suggest this is the case.

A tiny percentage manufacturing hundreds / thousands of sockpuppet accounts to circumvent bans & blocks, to continue to harass a few people.

Which is why blocking them without a response is so important.

They desire engagement

Another Emily (@emilyatlast.bsky.social):

Yeah, this.

Ignoring them is the only strategy that works.

Plus, it involves no actual effort.

AND it REALLY pisses them off.

All the winning.
