We noticed a "trans" author list had no trans women, snarkily subtweeted (but without naming anyone), and then a bunch of people declared war on us.

It's honestly quaint looking back because all of it was so stupid yet also targeted to frick with book releases and bundle promo, in the most petty vindictive way possible.

Just people locked out of tradpub fricking with other people locked out of tradpub. Great.

Mostly we still think and talk about this because we've all put out books and done more writing and kind of become a much closer-knit unit over the bullshit, which is nice, but it's just amazing that "please don't perpetuate transmisogyny via gatekeeping even in selfpub" was met with all of this.
