Jared Holt (@jaredlholt.bsky.social):

I hope we all remember how stupid we thought it was when QAnon supporters would say stuff like this

Dante Atkins (@danteatkins.bsky.social):

14 flags, posted at 1:14pm. Ensuring there's a 14 there regardless of your time zone. If you wanted to signal you were a Nazi now...this is a good way to do it.

Eyes on the Right (@eyesontheright.bsky.social):

Subtlety isn't really Musk's style when it comes to signaling support for Nazis.

Eyes on the Right (@eyesontheright.bsky.social):

Having said that, if there were fringe on the flags that would be another story.

Nicholas Bauer PhD (@bioturbonick.net):

This isn't subtle. He knows and is doing it deliberately.

Eyes on the Right (@eyesontheright.bsky.social):

Yeah I'm not on board with that interpretation.

Nicholas Bauer PhD (@bioturbonick.net):

If this was some random guy off the street, sure, could be an accident.

14 flags at 14:14 promoting a fascist statement is just another brick in the Musk Nazi-supporting facade.

Eyes on the Right (@eyesontheright.bsky.social):

Or you're reading too much into little things like this when he's very openly broadcasting his beliefs.

Nicholas Bauer PhD (@bioturbonick.net):

Dude. You don't need to read into it because he's openly broadcasting. It's part of the broadcast.

Eyes on the Right (@eyesontheright.bsky.social):

It really isn't.

Nicholas Bauer PhD (@bioturbonick.net):

What value do you think you bring, here?

Seriously, what do you get out of putting up an argument that "no, this particular very suspicious thing posted by a well known Nazi loving troll isn't actually definitively a Nazi thing"?

toasty wartooth⠀⠀⠀⠀ (@toasty.cx):

Well for one, they're an actual, well educated and respected researcher in to far right ideologies and extremism, whereas you're just a dude who thinks his unrelated PhD lets him get away with being out over his skis and talk down to people who know more than you about shit, so jot that down

Nicholas Bauer PhD (@bioturbonick.net):

LMAO okay anon dude.

toasty wartooth⠀⠀⠀⠀ (@toasty.cx):

yeah, you're thoroughly unqualified for this space

Nicholas Bauer PhD (@bioturbonick.net):

You really don't need credentials to add 2 and 2.

Ms. Penny Oaken, SkyWitch (@skywitches.net):

In my time in backrooms for alt-right types, they repeatedly and pointedly pushed "Make It Plausibly Deniable" specifically to incite slapfights over "Is It or Isn't It", because slapfights drive infighting, wedges, provide oxygen of amplification, etc

Nicholas Bauer PhD (@bioturbonick.net):

Yep.

It doesn't make sense to read deeply into a random person's isolated words or hand gestures.

It does make sense to point out a well-known Nazi troll's messaging as likely engaged in Nazi trolling.

Ms. Penny Oaken, SkyWitch (@skywitches.net):

If a Nazi says the sky is blue, does it make "the sky is blue" a Nazi slogan

Maybe

But

Does answering this question do anything To stop the Nazi

Probably not
