Meet "Kathlyn Kannon" (@/kathlynkannon.bsky.social) a self-proclaimed "political scientist who believes in unflinching honesty" with a GAN-generated face. (Note the bizarre anomalies at the boundaries between the hair, skin, and background, particularly near the ears.)

Unmodified StyleGAN-generated faces show extremely similar facial feature placement from image to image. This trait becomes obvious when multiple such images, including the "Kathlyn Kannon" image, are blended together.

The use of an artificially-generated face is not the only sign that the "Kathlyn Kannon" account is inauthentic. Clearsky reveals that the account was originally created back in November as @/hananiadailyposts.bsky.social, and renamed to @/kathlynkannon.bsky.social three days ago.
