Embracing the Hasty Generalisation in any way is a bad choice, which affects other attitudes & decisions; Protecting the victims through rule of law & institutions is more important than "Political Party Y are all Not Like Us" witchhunts, and normalising those is bad.

Because they accepted the cognitive bias of the Hasty Generalisation / Ecological Inference Fallacy, they ascribe the systemic faults that abusers exploit, to some other fault - an external evil, not their fault, not their responsibility.

You can't reason people out of that if they don't want to.

I'm not saying people should stop criticising Trumpist / right wing political society for accepting, celebrating, normalising, and enabling pederast creeps & for exploiting sexual anxiety / protection of the family dynamics. Just do it the right way, not their lawless way.
