Since Musk is the CEO, accounts linked to governments or media not aligned with the US interests are more shadow banned than ever.
Twitter has been building/growing for 17 years. Imagine living in the same house for 17 years and selling everything as is to the next buyer. It takes time to look over and clean up 17 years worth of potential problems, systems, procedures and processes. Keep on crushing it

Then maybe you have overextended yourself. I suspect firing half your staff before understanding the business you bought might have been a bad idea.
