The book he's holding is titled "incerto", referring to taleb's famous series. The wimpy character then is supposed to represent taleb's concept of the "intellectual yet idiot" (IYI). The two character's on the right are visually similar to taleb, suggesting that they are talebian ubermensch. The moral of the comic is that a classic lesson in talebian ethics: the IYI cares about the theory, and especially what is found in textbooks, where the "fat tony" archetypes care only about the application. This makes the IYI succesful academically, because he "understands" survival of the fittest, yet in the real world, survival of the fittest is what causes him to be beat up. Any questions?

They claim its to cut syllabus, apparently they want to cut it by 30%. :marseyshrug: That means some important shit will get cut anyway. Though yeah I'd rather cut digestive system or something like that tbh. Diagrams :marseysick:

they should've removed one of the three languages we have to study (in reality just memorise a few lines and grammar) instead

Eh I didn't like it but learning Hindi was useful it lets you travel across a whole swathe of India where signboards are exclusively in Hindi. I probably wouldn't have learnt it if not at school. Keep language, I think, chemistry and physics could definitely use heavy cuts though. I remember having to memorize pages of formulas for ICSE that is wrong :marseyprotestno:Then again CBSElets already had such a tiny physics book. I don't get why their syllabus has to be reduced in the first place even ICSE is easy and CBSE was easier, we should have some standards in the national boards.

Thing is, i learned more hindi from doraemon than in class. We dont have the right culture to teach language or art on a mass scale
