I swear if it wasn't necessary to visit the mountains I'd forget this accursed language the moment I get to leave the vile place where it was born. I had already forgotten a lot of it after graduating from my 50% Hindi speaker school.

i know india has like 98234294 tongues but which is the other big one? i always assumed it was hindi

Hindi is spoken by like 30% as a mother tongue and understood by 80%. All other languages are mostly restricted to their core speakers. Given the choice I'd obviously prefer Bengali.
