Take this with a grain of salt as I don't follow politics much these days but the impression I get from my more "politically active" friends is that he'll get BJP to improve their vote share but winning is borderline impossible.

BJP's issue is that ADMK acts as a soft-hindutva alternative to DMK which kinda blunts their appeal. BJP is definitely gaining ground but I think it'll be sometime before they become a major force here.
