China unironically sucks. Like it's super low class with a shiny paint job. Locals took me to a bunch of “nice” places and they're all bug-infested and gross. Just go to Korea or Tokyo.

Chinese girls are HOES though so if you wanna sexpat a bit it's fun for that.

>worst korea

Boring megacity hellhole. You can have fun but the whole thing is just copypasted megacity after megacity.

>china

Grimy but the food is kino in certain regions and nature tourism is insane, nightmare traveling within the country though due to r-slurred regulation

>japan

Its kino, especially if you avoid the megacities and actually explore the real country seeing shit like the Nakasendo trail + post towns, hot spring cities like Gero, seaside towns, historical wonders like Shirakawa-go (OMG THE HIGURASHI ANIME TOWN ISRAEL!) or Takayama... shame about the nuclear radiation in your food, air, environment and the guaranteed earthquake during your stay

>best korea

Tour guide bro is best bro, bragging rights, delicacies like dog and freshly picked clams cooked in your bus' gasoline, whole hotels and resorts just for your tour group as the guides keep the poors out, neurodivergent displays of coordination and social order. Literally the best option on this list.

Serious question, I'm planning on going on a trip across SEA, visiting China, again, going to Japan, SK and then heading south to Vietnam, Cambodia and ending in Thailand (I swear I'm not a sexpat, I just find the country really beautiful from the pictures and videos I've seen). What places would you recommend visiting while in South Korea? I personally dislike big cities and prefer natural and historical sites. I'd be starting in Seoul and moving down towards Busan. I was planning on a 3 month trip, though I think that might be too little and might need to up it to 5 months.

Jeju Island has a lot of natural sites like Mount Hallasan and many random parks and shit here and there. You'd probably need to rent a vehicle or hire a driver when you're there though because there isn't public transport and stuff in Jeju.

Seoul and Busan are definitely city areas but there are random nature parks littered around the city so you'd have to look for it I reckon. Busan's beside the sea so the seafood market is a good visit, while Seoul is.... Seoul lol. I guess if you like historical sites too the NK/SK border/JSA is a must visit (I loved it) and you'll probably like the military museum in Seoul too.

Ask a Korean like @KoreanStragKing probably lol

@FoidBlaster - Very Important. Wear Arcteryx. Its very hip with the rich young folks. It is THE brand currently.

Theres a lot of hiking tour groups for Jeju Island that are foreigner friendly so he can go join one of those. They usually have an English site as well, buuuuut probably needs to install kakaotalk if he wants to make gook friends.

If you want to boost your Google Reviewer numbers, you just take random photos at random restaraunts and shops that no foreigner would ever go into. I took photos at a random Lotte-Burger and got 50k views on it :marseyxd:

Busan is fun. Gooks are less uptight. Their accents are ........I dunno how a foreigner might see it but they have a noticeable accent. You can take a 2-3 hour ferry ride from Busan to go to Fukuoka, Japan, probably the most gook-friendly area of Japan. Fun area.

In Seoul, just look up reviews. Its not that big. I'd recommend Yeouido if you have spending money. Its upscale and a genuinely nice area to look around with the river and parks. Also less touristy than Gangnam. Lotte-World is kinda fun, you can easily rope a Tinder Gook out of your league in to go with you if you pay for their ticket because its a mild luxury. Go hit up the Aquarium in the basement, they have a beluga whale for some frick reason. Its a happy little fricker too.

The Lotte Tower is pretty cool. They had Napoleon's fricking hat at the very top when I went for some frick reason. Elevator is wicked fast. They won't let you out onto the balcony if its super windy which sucks.

You should also hit up Namiseom, you will have to rent a car for this one. Its SEAsian KDrama Mecca. In winter they have ice sculptures and shit. In summer, its a nice forest island. You could rent a boat from Seoul to go there buuuuut I have no idea how long that will take.

Sorta near Namiseom (for a burger) is Garden of Morning Calm. Despite its name, its cooler to go during sunset when the LED lights turn on and turn the whole garden into a lightshow. So...maybe show up a few hours before sunset, and look at thing in its natural beauty and then wait for the lights to turn on. Its up in the mountains so the drive is just a little stressful. Just a little. https://www.morningcalm.co.kr/_ENG/html/main.php?ckattempt=1

Incheon if you want Chink food, Chink prostitutes, Chinkshit, and other Chink related things. Good, simple hiking on Incheon outskirts too. I forget the name of it, but theres some sort of boardwalk amusement park too. Its kinda quaint.

Hit up Hongdae if you are under 30 or are prowling for under 30 gook foids. Hit up Itaewon if you are over 30 or are prowling for strong, independent women who don't need no man and are mayo-lusting real hard. Lots of ramen shops, most are mid. Theres also a freakishly tall drag queen wandering around at night that gives shoulder massages.

Thank you very much! :marseyembrace: I'll be taking my girl with me so I won't be hooking up with the local foids lol :marseyemojismilemouthcoldsweat:

Oh if you're taking your foid, then absolutely go to Lotte-World.

Hit up Gyeongbokgung Palace too. You can rent traditional gook clothing to take photos in.

Cheonggyecheon is a cool place to wander around too.

Gwangjang Market is a tourist trap now, it used to be fine. They jacked up their prices and pre-cook a shit ton of food so its not as fresh because tourists and tiktok/instagram/netflix shows ruined it.

Hit up Myeongdong shopping district instead or Namdaemun Market. More street food shit and less ridiculous prices than Gwangjung Market.

Yeonnamdong has a bunch of gay little cafes and coffee shops. Might be worth stopping buy.

There's this weird sorta-new shipping contained mall called Common Ground. Haven't been but its pretty cool and hip for the young folks. Pretty distinct place to take photos and shit.

Dongdaemun Night Market is also great for foids. Lots of clothing shit and accessories.

Starfield Library is also pretty aesthetic for photos and shit, its in the Coex Starfield Mall (duh) in Gangnam.

If your girl is annoying you, take her to Gangnam after 9PM so her ego can be taken down a few pegs.

It feels beyond this world, if you get an opportunity to genuinely try it. I was on a 6 lane empty expressway so it just felt a waste not to push it to the limit once. Its probably only expressway in the country I could pull those speeds on safely, leads to a pilgrimage spot in a very impoverished area so there isn't much freight traffic. Local workmanship meant parts like bridge joints were a bit jolting :marseycringe: but otherwise it feels amazing.

I did last time. I took the shinkansen and JR services wherever I could. I think I calculated it saved me like 20% or something.

I was taking a service from one city to another (not shinkansen) and I think I must have wandered into an exclusive area I wasn't allowed.

The conductor spoke to me in Jap, and I only know a few phrases, so I didn't understand. I showed him my JR Pass and he just got more annoyed. Eventually he just got the shits and left me be lol.

probably decent but probably plan it properly, my wife went to china for work last month and the first hotel didnt want to let her stay there because she didnt report her visit to the police or some shit lol but luckily she had a local colleague there

Jump in the discussion.

No email address required.

the official hotels for westerners do that reporting for their guests automatically. used to be that the other hotels would outright refuse to let non-chinese stay there, maybe now they allow you to stay if you report to the local police yourself, that would be a step up. if you stay at a friend's place in china you also have to report to the nearest police station within one or two days.

Which is not that uncommon. I have seen hotels report to like migration offices for long stays

Was it in some smaller city? I think we have similar regulations but we barely get any foreign tourists in comparison, registering foreigners would become a full time job in China.

One of the yt bloggers this channel mentioned actually got clearly sponsored for one vid, Taiwan let him stay in the Presidential Palace lol. But yeah its possible the major ones are helped by ccp to avoid issues, I know a foid who went there to study dentistry and she's never left her uni area cause she can't speak chink and its in some interior province. :marseygiggle:

Jump in the discussion.

no lol it was one of the major cities, thing was that she wasnt able to book the hotel from our internet that was outside of china so she asked the colleague to do so, but it still seemed so weird that you had to register with the police lol

room seemed very good for the price though, but the great firewall thing is real that you can see when you use google maps to take a look at a chinese city that's not beijing or shanghai :marseyshrug: i mean it's to be expected but i visited the old capital of china Xi'an prior to covid and it felt so weird to see an empty google maps compared to most other places in the world

just something to take note of i guess, you'd definitely need to use their local apps to go about there lol
