Not giving all minorities in Pakistan especially refuge here is one of the most evil things this state has done. I understand security issues, economic issues, everything but even so.

Parents can't really do much, these are mostly extremely poor and low caste Hindus they have basically no power there. I still remember one interview where a man was saying kill us, kill our sons but don't take away our daughters.

They didn't sell her she was abducted. Though yeah most cases of child trafficking are that only. Makes me wonder what police do, they can scare the parents a bit but ultimately I'm pretty sure parents always have custody. So you save a girl from a trafficking ring then hand her back to the bastards who sold her into it.
Ideally the parents would be liquidated and whatever they own seized to sponsor the stay in govt facilities of the kid. But then those have so much abuse too.
