Alas the reality of this kind of stuff is not so dramatic. People post about it like it's encouraging a bunch of 20 somethings to keep yourself safe themselves, but if you look at the stats of other countries that have this system, it's almost entirely used by elderlies suffering with illnesses, and if they want to die it's not so unreasonable.

The issue became a slippery slope rather quickly in Canada. The government kept expanding eligibility to cover things that weren't terminal and some doctors push it to people who aren't terminal.
