as one shocking study conducted by The Times found last week. In it, we learned that just 41% of young people felt national pride, crashing down from 80% in 2004.

I'm really sceptical about this. I remember 2004 and the world wasn't full of patriots, especially amongst youth, and for some reason especially amongst anglos. Pooping all over your country and local city is just the thing that everyone does.

It's meant to be like family, where you get to b-word about your home country all you like but if an outsider joins in you all turn on them like vipers. But that second part stopped happening for some reason no one can explain. At least without getting a knock on the door.
