I've had that conversation with women a bunch of times too. tbh it's not their fault since men so rarely actually show feelings and most humans are pretty terrible empathisers. I think it's why so many women feel justified in behaving like some annoying controlling nagging nightmare partner too because they just assume that the guy doesn't feel anything when they do it.
