I was a teenager when Columbine happened. At first it seemed impressive that they were finally able to lash out at those stomping on them, and a lot of other teenagers were feeling similarly. Problem was, no, that wasn't the real story, and I didn't find out until years later that this whole thing was a combination of wanting revenge because they were punished for breaking the law and a desire for fame they knew they would get. They had more friends than most of the people I knew, and went to the darn prom night in a limo. Misfits my butt.
