Except only janitors can flair posts. Users will not be able to flair posts. Paypigs will not be able to flair posts. You cannot sort by flair. You cannot filter by flair. You cannot omit by flair. This will never change.
Flairs in the traditional sense are FRICKING STUPID and hamstring future growth into the Hole-model if users can use them, or if they’re searchable, or filterable, or any such thing. They will regress us into the Reddit-derivative domain. This will not happen.
I did not even want to make this announcement because stupid people will ask for these stupid things, but they would anyway once they started to notice catty flairs from the cleaning crew. So I am getting ahead of the curve.
Now that you’ve been warned: If you request sort/search/filter/user-selected post flairs I will ban you.

If you can't filter or sort by flair, and you can't create your own to add more to your post then why even make it a thing when it's just going to take up even more room, unnecessarily, on the already overcrowded post listings/cards we have here?
Titles barely fit on the screen on the front page as is a lot of the time, much less any links or user flairs.

The flairs are simply a migration of something from the old sub. It's purely just another way for us admins to be passive aggressive. Carp was actually against the flairs but the old sub mods bitched and moaned about it.

My favorite flair was always "Political" with the crying Pepe Trump. I remember I actually tried to get a .jpg of it to use in text messages but I could never find it. Not sure who has it full size but it'd be cool to have under in our Marsey area.
