My poor baby Bichon is in puppy prison

Humphrey keeps wanting to jump off the bed and I’m worried he’s going to hurt himself so he’s banished to puppy Alcatraz until he’s fully crate trained or big enough to not hurt himself by jumping down.

I don't know that breed, but I've had a couple of cavaliers and a yorkie. In my experience, small dogs can fall from much higher than you would expect and still be completely fine. It looks awkward but they don't seem to mind. Like the goddarn teacup yorkie would jump out of my hands from waist-height onto asphalt and be running around like nothing happened.
