They're not cute past the chick stage. They're dirty, covered in mites, scratchy, jumpy, and they don't play fetch. IMO the best way to have pet chickens is to make them into nuggets once they're over 3 weeks
old and then buy new eggs.
Or just get a real pet like a parrot.

It really just depends on how used to human interaction they are since they're chicks. I got 10 hens and 1 rooster and they're all super chill and eat from my hands all the time.
