!comicshitters if I get the time I plan on doing a large effortpost on Watchmen. Going deep into the history of comics, the development of watchmen as a story, what ideas in comics it was critiquing, what does the "superheroes are fascism" stuff really mean, the impact of watchmen on comics, and how DC has tarnished its legacy. This is mostly because I think alot of watchmen anaylsis is pretty uniformed and shallow and ends up feeding a false narrative which major comic publishers peddle. SO basically dont expect this to be a basic "Uh comics were childish and fun until Alan Moore came in and made comics dark and adult and scary WOAAHHH" type beat.
