I get that it's not funny, but it's a g*mer comic they were never funny. Am i missing something? Did the culture war come to gaming based around this stupid comic that is about as offensive as British tv?

No bb you did good. It's just so asinine and I'm sort of shocked to see it brought back up, because I had forgotten about this and I think everyone else did too.
It was an interesting early example of completely failing to manage community fallout. They did basically everything wrong because they both apologized and doubled down and the whole thing sould have gone away on its own if they ignored it. Also why was there an entire convention dedicated to a shitty video game webcomic?
