Some people have managed but you've gotta get them neutered before they hit puberty and have either a second raccoon or a dog to keep them in check.

All of mine have turned into huge pains in the butt once they hit adulthood and then leave on their own.

No, the babies I have are ones that were brought to me by people or I found on the road. They just don't jive well with the regulars so once they go off on their own they tend to not come back.

Yeah I'm fine with releasing them. I just wish they'd come back more often. The wild raccoons i keep around are too territorial for that and so the ones I release tend to disappear.
