I hear you. FWIW, the newer research that's coming out points to being transgender as heritable, occurring during fetal development in utero, and it's not uncommon for entire sibling groups to realize they're trans. Just know that you're not the only parent!

To some degree, but it's exploded in the past 20 years, so it's mostly cultural. The standard is also so low, you don't even need to take HRT to call yourself trans.

I have experience with this and my opinion as someone with no medical training or research isn't that alcohol necessarily attaches to your DNA or whatever but that the mental barriers that prevent addiction in normal people can be handed down via genetics. Similar to how someone with anger problems can create an angry kid.
