That's really not how this works. If it was a simple as disagreement == excommunication shit like the Guelph and the Ghibellines wouldn't have been possible. He does speak authoritatively on matters of faith though and few lay people should claim to have more basis on such issues than him.

This is a commonly misunderstood aspect of Catholicism. Papal infallibility only applies when the Pope is speaking ex cathedra defining a matter of Christian doctrine or morals. This would not be one of those cases, though the encyclical mentioned in the comment I screenshotted, Exsul Familia Nazarethana would still be the authoritative teaching on the subject and is very much in line with Pope Francis's statement.

No, it went far above and beyond simply deporting people. Biden, to his credit, created a task force that had successfully reunited 800 of these families last year; it was one of the programs cut during Trump's first round of executive orders. I assume you're also familiar enough with Guantanamo to understand the optics of setting up a detention center for migrants there.
"Common sense" immigration policy to ensure that communities are prepared for the people entering and that they're law abiding etc is all well and fine from a Catholic perspective, but Republicans are purposefully breeding xenophobia and enabling inhumane treatment of migrants.
