I tried meth and opiates and dont understand how anyone could be addicted to them because they are relatively mid

Will start by saying that I'm not a degenerate with drugs. I almost exclusively take them socially, so my experience has always been with alcohol, cigs, zyns (no vapes because I'm not a cute twink), weed, mushrooms, lsd, coke (rarely), and mdma. Essentially what you'd find inside a typical rave. Recently I tried Meth and Percocet, on two separate occasions. There was some part of me that was afraid that this would be the beginning of a degeneracy spiral. But coming away from these experiences, I'm left confused, because both of them are shitty and lame.

  • I'll start with Meth :marseybowl:. I normally test my Molly but was handed a pill at a function by a friend, and sort of without thinking, I took it (found out later it tested positive for meth). Wow, what a shitty high. It literally just felt like a "rougher" version of Molly with was less of the fun euphoria. I basically only got an energetic burst, but even in that regard, it was shittier than cocaine which I've only taken twice. The euphoria was also less of the "I love everyone" signature MDMA high and more "I want to move and run around."

  • Next is the Percocets :marseymeds:. This is the most recent experience which inspired this post. I was prescribed percocets for a medical procedure that I had roughly two months ago and never really needed them because I'm not a kitty. Sort of out of morbid curiosity, I decided to take a total of 10mg, which Erowid says is on the border of a common-high dosage. I literally felt almost nothing but a bit of warmth inside and a small amount of euphoria. I went on a walk, which was nice, and it wasn't like I had a bad time. But the affects were not nearly as acute as I was expecting.

So, coming away from thi, are hard drug users actually r-slurred? I hear stories of people getting addicted to meth and opiates all the time and I cannot fathom how this happens. I guess if opiates are the only thing relieving your chronic pain thats one thing. But how could anyone find the symptoms of these good enough to abuse them to an addiction level recreationally? Especially when much better drugs exist.

  • MDMA and cocaine blow these so far out of the water. Honestly, not even that. A bottle of grey goose washes Percocet.

  • And I haven't even talked about safety yet, being that almost anything is much safer than opiates or meth.

  • The affects of literally any psychedelic are also 10x better than this shit.

  • Is it because of price? No. I googled the street price for Oxy as around 12-40 dollars per pill and Meth around 80/gram so 16/dose. Meanwhile, the price I pay for 220ug of LSD is 2.50 per tab and MDMA as 10 per point. So you're not even getting a "better" deal on a per high basis.

  • Is it because of ease of access? I can't imagine it is. I wouldn't even know where to look to buy opiates but all the local dealers on telegram are easy to find.

I am now genuinely curious. Can someone illuminate this issue for me? :marseyconfused:

Meth is shitty coke

Molly is for cute twinks

Opiates (percs,oxy,etc) are shitty heroin

Coke and booze are for partying. Psychedelic's are for adventures.

Everything else is trash and a waste of time.

Except heroin, it's great, but will ruin your life, if it doesn't kill you first.

Benzos also fall into this category. Pretty good, but highly addictive.

And detoxing from them is literally worse than any other drug. And it can kill you.

They can also kill you if you drink with them.

So overall they're about as deadly and horrible as heroin, if not more. Stay away.

There, I just saved everyone the trouble of experimenting.

*Necessary disclaimer: I do not use drugs anymore, so this is based on old past experience.

*Another note: I love LSD but as far as I am aware it is not common anymore. LSD and mushrooms are largely interchangeable though.

Heroin is the most overrated drug of all time

The only people that glorify it are people that never tried it or addicts that need it to feel normal.

Oxy high > heroin high if you can afford it

I never did it. My brother said it was great and I took his word for it.

The closest I've done is oxy or morphine (medical reasons) and I did think morphine was kind of cool.

Mostly agree with this except for the molly take, molly is incredible.

Where I live tho LSD is pretty common nowadays. Just by asking around you can find a plug pretty easily and prices aren't that bad.

Maybe it's back now. It was gone for a while.

I think there was something about some prolific acid creator going to jail like 10-15 years ago.

Yeah I've heard something about there being an acid drought some years ago. Nowadays tho it seems like every dealer has the “220ug” gels with signature gold flakes so I guess there's a new chemist picking up the slack

That's good. I hope it makes a come back.

Even though I don't use them anymore, I'm a pretty big proponent of psychedelics.

I've done a considerable amount of LSD over the years and overall would rate it as positive and relatively harmless.

There are interesting studies coming out now about their use in treatment of things like depression and addiction.

Also the rise of people doing things like micro dosing is interesting and may have positive effects as well.
