Philippine court clears fierce Duterte critic of drugs charges after long legal battle and six years of police custody

That's a huge problem there... If I remember correctly, the Philippines has a population of over 100 million but only has 4000 lawyers. I saw a documentary where some of these guys were in prison for robbing supermarkets and they were waiting for their trials. They were in jail for almost 10 years and then the trial date came up, and then they got let off with a warning... free to go. Duterte was responsible for this as he jailed so many drug dealers and addicts that the prison system broke and he did nothing about it. They have jail cells built for 4 prisoners holding upwards of 60 people and there is no room for them all to sleep at once so they have to take turns standing and waiting to be able to lay down...
