When we look at the history of Nazi Germany, do we blame the individual German people, or do we blame Hitler and his party?
frick I hate this argument so much. they're both to blame, hitler ended democracy in germany to thunderous applause, the german people in general were absolutely on his side and I'm tired of this r-slurred whitewashing of history trying to argue otherwise.
they only got upset with him after war shortages started to bite, they didn't give a shit about the whole "kill the jews" thing bc they were a small minority in germany
then the allies start rolling through germany near the end of the war and finding death camps and the people living in towns nearby are like "oh I had no idea" it's like you can SMELL the burning flesh you fricking liars
