For instance, harmful thought patterns like "earning" food through exercising or that dessert is the reward for the "punishment" of eating vegetables

This is unironically correct, however obviously the conclusion they draw is "so just eat the junk food anyway" instead of the correct conclusion that rewarding healthy habits with unhealthy ones is obviously r-slurred. Also, anyone who claims to dislike vegetables is just outing themselves as being unable to cook.

Wrong. Vegetables taste like shit. You're confusing the butter/oil and herbs/spices (kinda vegetables I guess) that you use to make vegetables not taste like shit with the actual vegetables

Jump in the discussion.

No email address required.

Wrong. Vegetables still taste good when boiled as long as they're seasoned and not cooked to mush. They don't taste amazing or anything, but they definitely don't taste bad

I prefer well cooked vegetables to deserts. I think the crux of this issue is a societal dearth of cooking ability.

tbh if you eat vegetables for a while you'll start liking them. people who hate veggies just never eat them. something to do with your gut bacteria

Eating a sneakers after the gym has worked out pretty well for me

Jump in the discussion.

If you're bulking then sure, eating after going to the gym is definitely a good thing. But most people's primary goal should be to lose weight, in which case I don't think that rewarding yourself for exercising with food is a good idea 99% of the time.

:marseyhesright: It's really all about preparation and how they are seasoned. Literally any vegetable fried in a pan with a bit of oil and nothing more than salt and pepper on it is good, and that's just the most basic way.

It also depends on the vegetables. I started buying frozen broccoli a few months ago to save money and it was fricking awful. Made me realize that people are probably eating that mushy garbage and hate it with good reason. Went back to organic, its well worth the money.

I have been lazy and steaming vegetables in my rice cooker top occasionally, cooking rice with eggs mixed in in the cooker itself

then throw on some rice wine vinegar, soy sauce, and sesame seeds

literally 2 minutes of prep time and it's delicious and good, idk how people fail at this

Jump in the discussion.

No email address required.

That's not even lazy, actually pretty :marseybigbrain:

ya but it's still effortless

like 80g of rice, prolly half a pound/250g cooked, two cups of vegetable (I just do broccoli + cauliflower + beans), and crack two eggs into the rice and stir it in well before starting to cook

it's not nearly as nice as actually making fried rice in the wok but it's close to zero effort

Nooooo you don't understand I have to use the microwave and maybe boil it if I can't find a microwave recipe

I steam vegetables in the microwave every day and get a tasty lunch out if it. Also like my salads with no seasoning or dressing. Just appreciate the taste of the vegetables themselves.

And I mean, eating a box of doughnuts and sitting on the couch is worse than eating a box of doughnuts after running a few miles.

more people should get a sports watch that tracks shit, then go run a 10k, they would be shocked how few calories you actually burn, just don't eat lmao

Sure, I guess that eating a box of doughnuts after exercising is better than eating it without exercising, but I wouldn't go nearly as far as to say that it qualifies as good. Imo there's literally never any excuse to eat an entire box of doughnuts.
