How the heck am I supposed to strengthen my core if my core is too weak to do sit-ups without my legs trying to fly into the stratosphere

Negative sit ups still made me lift up my legs because I have literally no core muscles. Could do two 30 second planks though so for now I’m just using that to build at least some core strength

Try picking up the lightest weight you can (or even none) and place it above your head and walk with it. This will strengthen your core as it has to compensate for it

Guess I can do that, does it really need to be the lightest I have (0,5 kg) or can it be something like 1/1,5 kg as well

Crunches instead of situps.
If you have access to dumbbells try incline bench with weight in only one hand.
Planks

I tried crunches but I felt like I was more so just using my back and neck muscles instead of my core so I think I’ll come back to them once I’m stronger
Doing this at home on my floor so can’t do that
Planks work though, so right now I’m doing 2 reps of 30 seconds and 2 reps of 10 push ups which is pretty pathetic but at least I’m doing something

Thanks for the input! Maybe you should try reading some fitness blogs or watching some YouTube videos on correct form for crunches before you write off the entire exercise. As for your home workouts, there are tons of bodyweight exercises you can do for your core besides crunches and planks. Do some research and get creative!
