Stress, diet, and a lack of exercise contributes to becoming overweight or obese

The only thing burger kids got to stress about is what kinda goyslop their mommys gonna bring home

You forgot about having to keep up with the latest tick tock dances and the stress of having to pick your gender.

Jason Kelce is almost 300 lbs…is he unhealthy? Jordan Davis and Jordan Mailata are well over 300lbs.

A higher weight DOES NOT necessarily directly correlate to being less healthy and a lower weight DOES NOT necessarily directly correlate to being more healthy.

This is such r-slurred thinking. Some linemen are lifer fat butt but that is usually not the case. Shit these days they are pretty trim for 270+, it takes a shit load of work to stay in NFL line shape

Also I bet Jason kelce slims up real quick now that he is retired.

It's more common to go the Allan faneca route

Why do Redditors refuse to understand that the exception proves the rule. Fat people == linesmen and intersex == gender is complicated.

I weigh as much as someone whose spent their entire life playing a position that requires them to be massive, except they work out every day and I do nothing. Obviously, I am healthy

Jason kelce is unhealthy though. He's talked about how he struggles with steps on his podcast. And about how he wants to lose weight after the nfl

There's a reason you don't see a lot of old powerlifters. 350lbs of muscle is healthier than 350 lbs of fat, but it's still really hard on your joints and circulatory system. NFL players either lose a ton of weight in retirement or are cripples by 45

High level powerlifters tho intentionally neglect cardio a lot and they insane poor diets to meet macro nutrients and often just have too much body% on them. They max strength and not health. Also not to mention the drug abuse they have lo, shit in the past their cycles were insane.

A biggest key takeaway is that high level athletes do not live health lifestyles and in fact most of the cases live a extreme unhealthy lifestyle

Gay-op to push Vince Wilfork as a symbol of body positivity

Wilfork is down to 245. A perfect example of what I am talking about. It's really hard to stay in their massive playing weight after they quit playing

Nose is really the only position left in football where carrying a lot of body fat has its advantages. Your goal is swallow blocks and fill running lanes. It's a thankless job unless you are elite like Wilfork or Davis.

O-line guys are fat but not like they used to be. Looking more like 6'5 300

Nose tackle kinda demands it. You have to draw double teams every play.

Someone like Al woods has made a 13 year career swallowing blocks

It really isn't that simple. I teach human health courses and it is SO much more complicated than this.

Calories in, calories out isn't accurate for a lot of people.

Type 2 Diabetes is way more complicated than it was originally thought (fat = unhealthy = T2D) and we are still learning more every day.

Fat is a necessary nutrient and component of literally every cell in your body.

Endocrine disruptions are a cause of a significant portion of obesity cases, which is becoming more apparent as they are more well studied (especially in women who are significantly underrepresented in clinical and preclinical studies). Obesity is likely a symptom of another issue all together.

Genetics plays a larger role in obesity than originally thought.

Using simplistic language like “fat, not good” perpetuates the idea that bigger bodies are bad. This contributes to body dysmorphia, depression, and su1cide, which are already sky high in college students.

Do you think maybe you could consider some of these things and some of the other comments and downmarseys you are getting to reframe your view on this topic? Also consider that blanket statements on an anonymous forum on a clickbait post isn't the way to have a conversation based on science and data (as you and OP keep trying to say you are doing).

Just because CICO works for 99.9% of all people doesn't mean it would be effective for the 70% of fat people in the country!

Why exactly are you asking this question? Do you teach nutrition courses or human health courses or are you just being fatphobic?

:#soysnootypefasttalking:

That's right, you need to be a dietetician or nutritionist to know that being fat is bad and how to lose weight.

Why are you asking questions about your students' bodies?
