Company is "upgrading" us to sit to stand desks soon
My office managers just announced that they are replacing all of our desks at work with sit to stand desks and I can't shake this anxious feeling I have about it. Everyone is so excited except me…
Obviously, I know that I do not have to use the stand feature and could sit at the desk at all times like normal. But I'm just imagining the office full of people athletically standing at times throughout the day, whereas I will be sitting down in my chair the entire time. I know this sounds silly but it just seems like yet another thing that will call attention to my size.
Sorry if this is just the most minor thing, but I hoped I could share it with folks who may understand.

Zero coviders are the absolute worst and yet somehow fat zero coviders manage to be worse again.
They all watch infection rates and wastewater numbers and hospitalisation rates like fricking hawks but the second you suggest maybe they should consider their BMI (you know, because of the massively documented link between obesity and covid) your account will get booped on the snoot instantly.
Take any group of people who organise a community around any particular medical issue. There's no faster way of telling whether or not they're full of shit than how quick they are to make excuses about eating multiple pints of ice cream every fricking night.

I still remember when I learned that people actually just eat entire pints of ice cream. I was hanging out with some friends, a few of which are very fat, and they were like "oh we don't really use ice cream scoops we just eat it from the pint". I said well isn't it kinda gross that you're using your spoon (in your mouth), putting it back in the pint, and then eventually putting the pint away.
Turns out they never did that last part.
I have zero empathy for fat people. Just like poor people, I've never met a fat person who wasn't fully responsible for their condition.
