Making drinks with weird add-ins is an old school soda fountain thing, that's where cherry coke originally came from. My mom said she used to get chocolate cokes as a kid.
The Coke Freestyle machines work on a similar principle. They essentially have the soda syrups for Coke/Sprite etc, then use something akin to a print cartridge to add a mixing flavour.
They had these a while ago at my local Five Guys, local as in 50 miles away but I liked it a lot, and I would mix Coke Peach and Coke Lime and it was really good. It had that sweet peach taste and the sour lime .
You think the 17 year old Mexican girl working at Sonic cares enough to mix chocolate syrup in their drinks? These morons, and by that I mean Mongolians, couldn't tell the difference between Coke and Sprite if you told them either was the other. I think sugar has a cocaine like effect on the taste buds where the longer you drink it the more desensitized to it you get until all you can tell is how much sugar is in it.

Your taste buds adjust to the higher sweetness, then something that is very sweet to someone may be more mild to you. You're fat so you wouldn't notice.
Might have to try that. I actually haven't had any soda in a couple weeks (not intentionally, I just haven't bought any recently) and this is a nice excuse to change that.

Not too far off from a chocolate root beer float. Add some whiskey (or gin) and the sugar blunts the alcohol and the herbaceouness (or floral/fruitiness) elevates the chocolate and sodie

That was before soda was 20% high fructose corn syrup where you add in more chocolate flavoured corn syrup

Where my fellow vanilla coke enjoyers at
I have had straghags tell me it's a twinky thing to drink but idc it tastes really good
The pre-mixed bottled/canned version is pretty good but it's even better if you add the vanilla syrup yourself
