17 is still a little old, but I think a lot of people actually realize that they're fat when they try to do some active group physical activity when they're near that age. They get lied to and can pretend otherwise, then somebody wants to go mountain biking or climbing and bam, and for moderate physical activities they've been able to get away with using their youth to destroy their bodies for short spurts so why wouldn't this thing work the same way? But they hit something real and it just DOESN'T work.

Field day is something a lot of fats can power through and they end up letting them skip stuff in gym "oh you can't do it it, we'll move on." A fat can live a lot of its life without being challenged sadly. It may be controversial, but I don't think we need to bring back bullying in school to get kids to hate their bodies the right way. Don't they call CPS for spankings and stuff these days? If the kid's BMI is too much, you have a mandatory meeting with the parents every 6 months.

Me and my colleagues arranged a 22-mile cross-country mountain biking route years ago and the fat guy at work wanted to come as well.
Lmao he was so unfit and slow and was blaming his tyres. Like yeah we've all got tyres that make hill climbing easier for us it's nothing to do with your big fat body and fat-clogged arteries.
Carry on inviting fatties to active hobbies it's funny and makes for good stories to share years later.

I think the effort is there since its unnecessarily time consuming to copy hyperlinks AND then go back and do screen snippets for said hyperlinks. Nobody is going to do it if their post maybe gets like 20 upmarseys max or someshit while one post with just one twitter link can do 100.

In my day fat kids would quietly accept their girth, make up an excuse like a fear of heights, not draw attention to their size and not be buttholes expecting everyone else to accommodate them.
