"The bikepacking thing was just how I made space in my world to cope with the numerous inequities I experienced as a Native woman in a big body."

For context, Alexandera Houchin is a niche lolcow and currently the flavor of the year in the obnoxiously socially conscious world of alt cycling. She's a fat, nativeish girl that decided to start riding ultra endurance MTB races on a single speed but also managed to finish the Tour Divide (continental divide mtb/gravel bike race from Banff to the Mexican border) without losing any weight. :marseyhmmm: Since then she's been on a victory lap trying to hoover up whatever sponsorships she can get before her knees explode, sort of like a BIPOC !bikechads version of Ragen Chastain

Also Esker is a company that makes bikes for dumbfricks who want a Surly but wish it was more expensive.

It's actually closer the 3k miles and the total distance climbed is insane. I don't know how long she took, she might report it somewhere but she's new on my radar so I haven't really had a chance to dig into all her lolstats yet. I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt and assuming that she did finish it without cheating but she still has rolls so wtf.

At the same time cycling is a ridiculously efficient form of transportation and base effort junk miles/easy mileage are a thing so maybe she cruises it all and finishes on her own schedule. Top Tour Divide placers finish in under 14 days, but it's not a super structured event and if you ride it in seven or eight weeks it's not like there are officials to sweep you off the course.
