I don't think it should be encouraged, suicidal feelings are often temporary and people in vulnerable situations can be coerced

I don't oppose people roping themselves. I strongly encourage it. I oppose the government helping people rope because the government suggests it to sad people and combat veterans who went in asking for a wheelchair ramp. And it uses tax dollars for something that those people can do for free on their own.

And then there's the question of how badly these people want to die, really. If they really want to die, why don't they just go ahead and do it instead of asking the government to murder them? Asking for help seems more like they want to be talked out of it.
