Hate to break your circlejerk, but there is no mention of a Russian "General Pavel" (which is a first name - Paul) in either Latin or Cyrillic script outside of a couple of UK tabloids. I tried. The only sources, even when searching in Russian, are of a 61-year-old Czech general - Petr Pavel.
