This is the nicest thing anybody here has ever said about me but communism was invented in the 1840s and China has been around since 3000BC so I can't help but feel that the problems inherent in the system might not all be due to communism.

OK fair but nobody can really help China with their "angry ghost" problem so we should focus on the problems that we can influence.
China's problem is that every few centuries they would tech up so hard that it was impossible to imagine anyone ever catching up to them or anything of worth existing outside China. So they would close the gates and just chill. Then a few centuries later the outsiders catch up, frick them up. The Chinese rise up again, tech up, then again become superiority complex incarnate and close the gates. This cycle repeats forever.
You will know the one world government is at hand the day the Chinese start to fully westernize.
It's called 黄河蓝海 "Yellow River, Blue Sea". Sometimes China faces the blue sea and is outgoing and vigorous, then sometimes it faces the Yellow River and is inward looking and slow moving.

Chinese people are so based it's unreal. Such a shame that they have to live under an oppressive Communist dictatorship.

And every once in a while China waxes off and creates a new nation where it left to develop separate from the Chinaman.
