I see "passport bros" as a bit more general than a sexpat, since it encompasses guys who are trying to have legitimate romantic relationships as well (or just casual dating rather than engaging s*x workers) but have consciously given up on western women.

I think it's mostly a American (plus potentially Canadian) phenomenon not necessarily a Western one.

They also tend to go places along the Mediterranean and the Caribbean LatAm countries which are Western, only just poor.

The sexpat stereotype also seems to be mostly older men and passport bros seem to be mostly college age scrotes thinking they discovered s*x tourism and a whole new dating pool.
