Why men pick basic “Wonderbread” women over high-value “French croissant” women

You have two cars : Car A which is affordable, easy to keep in good condition, and can go on a good long drive without you needing to fill 'er up or do any extraneous maintenance that often; and then there's Car B which is expensive, requires you to have to go through the company that manufactures it exclusively in order to properly fix or replace anything on or in it, and that requires frequent pit stops . In what universe does it make sense to not to get Car A besides to show off that you can afford Car B? Car B has zero actual value without the purchaser being vain and/or having low self-esteem.
