You're being paranoid. This would never happen in a busy tourist area. People would be absolutely called out. And why would anyone bring a child to a busy area when paedophiles would never expose their predilections in a crowded street? From the pimp's perspective it would be a terrible business approach.

Also consider this: westerners bring their children to gay pride marches (which are often little more than sexual titillation) and drag artist library readings. Thais would never think this is okay, so why do you think they'd let people pimp out children?
