Made a penne with Alla vodka sauce but swaped vodka for rum and added some habenrio peppers to complement the sweetness of the rum

That looks absolutely delicious. Penne a la vodka is one of my favorites, but this sounds like an interesting substitution

My logic is that vodka is the worst spirit because it's just water and ethanol so might as well use anything else. Gin would probably be better for this because it's just vodka with infused flavors.

I think the alcohol adds balance and works as a flavor enhancer, similar to salt or MSG

We're doing drugs. If i wanted to hear “don't do it man” or any other sort of social stigma about wanting to put meth in my butt I would have asked my mom what her thoughts were. Obviously if I'm ready to put meth in my butt and I want to know whether or not I should take a shit first, I've already made up my mind. It's going up there.
