Homemade gyros

I did the meat in the crockpot. Pretty disappointing to be honest it just tasted like stewed meat and the spices didn't come through.

I bought off the shelf tatziki sauce. Homemade is definitely better but I don't have time for that shit.

I'm working on my plating. Food tastes better if it's separated into groups.

There's a serious eats recipe where kenji tries to make al-pastor at home, which also would typically involve an impractical spinning meat cone that you aren't going to replicate in your kitchen.

He ends up packing a bunch of thin slices of pork into a bread pan and making a weird meatloaf. I've never tried this, it looks like a lot of effort, but I feel like maybe this could be something to try for your gyro game. Your picture looks great, btw, I'd eat it.
