I love where im at, far enough outside the city, but still close enough to be surrounded by farm to table restaurants. Unfortunately, you have to schedule weeks in advanced for most of them as they dont do drop ins.

Lucky you. I'd say I probably have to drive 45-60 mins to get anything near good, and I'd say it's like 3-4 star quality not 5. Probably 1.5 hours for 5 stars.

eh, I've experienced both sides now. The house I am in would be easily like $1.5 million in a little city, so I have a really nice house for way less. The people are nicer and no traffic other than busses during school hours. Everything is cheaper too. Downside is restaurants like the above aren't a thing, and I sometimes go looking for anything service related and it's a tough find. Also, people have no business sense and play on the "good ol' boy" thing and really they have no idea what they are doing and you can't trust them.
Good and bad at every place really.
