I have one, it's good for things like fries or corn dogs. My favorite is slicing up sausage and air frying it, get a nice crisp on the corners. Fries in a standard convection oven take FOREVER.
I dislike the lingering smell of cooking oil you get with traditional deep fryers.
Typical $50 Costco special. I wouldn't get one of the fancy "air fry, bake, rotisserie, and icemaker" triple-digit models.

Yeah there's this one brand of frozen fries I fricking love, but baking them is slow and kills taste, while frying is fast but unhealthy and messy
But tbh shouldn't be buying devices to consume more carbs lol
