I think I've realized most restaurants are a scam. It makes sense to buy cheap food (fast food, bars), or very expensive food but most everything is just the same SYSCO slop made by high schoolers or addicts

i'm not sure if you can count hawker food as restaurants (some of the best ones have their own storefronts here) but they're usually so worth it here and they have their own secrets to making their particular specialities taste so good :marseylickinglips: then again food's so cheap and delicious here (~$3.50 to ~$5 gets you something filling and decent and not fast food nonsense) so people here tend to just eat out lol
