That came out of the dishwasher. Some guy getting $10/hr made that giggling after getting his free beer for the night.

The portion complaints about these places are always hilarious to me. I don't know about this specific restaurant but the few upscale places I've been to, I've been absolutely stuffed by the end. Each plate/item is small but there's just so many courses, it's probably around 1500-2000 calories per full meal. In fact it's frankly astounding because if you go somewhere nice you don't feel overly full but you've just consumed most of a day's worth of calories.

I mean I get it - these people have never actually been to such a place so they're comparing it to their Olive Garden where you order an app and an entree and MAYBE a dessert after and that's it.

You think rich people eat to get fat or something?? It's just for fun

I just mean that food is an afterthought to rich people I'm sure they already have like pre-made fully balanced meals made by maids or something.

Too many gimmicks stinks though. Like I went to Alinea and it was pretty meh. :marseydisagree:

You didn't like Alinea? I've never been but I'd like to go at some point.

It wasn't bad. But it was the worst 3* Ive been to in terms of food. A couple dishes were legit not tasty at all. The gimmicks also get tiresome by the end of the meal.

You might love it, but it wasn't really my thing. And I expected to love it.

The worst gimmickposer Michelin restaurant i have been to is ODO in Hall

I didn't understand what any of the items meant. Which was the hors d'oeuvres or the main course. What is even kaiseki I have no clue.

The only good thing was I went with only my guys, so there were 5 of us and thus dividing the $3000 bill wasn't such a huge pain.

I had plans to go to Alinea with my then-gf, and she dumped me and went with another guy :(

You missed out on a bunch of overthought 7/10 dishes. The space also blows and the servers were theater-gay levels of annoying. :marseybeanannoyed:

What's ur fav fancy restaurant? Mine is either Chef's Table at Brooklyn Fare or Eleven Madison Park before they went vegetarian. :marseyitsover:

Also sowwy about the gf. I'm taken but am down for giving the thruple thing a shot, hotty. :marseyfemboy:

I would want to try this maybe once every few years. Keep it a novel experience. But there would be no point to doing it often.

A plate at this place costs more than the average Spaniard can spend in a few years.

Thankfully I'm American, not a Spaniard.
