I've never wrapped corn in foil. Is there some benefit for it? I usually put them on the top rack while everything is cooking then move them down to the main grill for some char and have never had problems (or just rewrap them in husks)
Like every one said, wrap it up to keep the juices + add your butter and other stuff like mayo n spices to make like Mexican street corn and it comes out primo sweet n kocking

similar to cooking it with the husk on. You can butter it up and season it real good and it cooks in it's juices.
