I covered in in a basic seasoning I like (Emeralds or something) and a tad extra kosher salt and fresh ground pepper.
I let it raise in temp for a while and got the (gas) grill hot.
Initially I was looking for 10-12 min each side for the grill at about ~400F but it's pretty thicc - about 2in on the dot- so it took a solid 15min on each side.
It rested for 8 mins or so too and got to an internal of 141 - goal was 135 but honestly a medium well was the right call for this, I've never had such a juicy, buttery steak that didnt even get basted.

It was a 2in ribeye. It came out a very good medium rare.
