You can buy packaged hot pot mixes at the asian grocery stores. I got this one the other day, pretty well known brand that you should be able to find:
You just mix it with water and boil it, then you cook sliced meat and mushrooms and bok choy and whatever else you want in there, preferably while it's still boiling.
It's kind of a waste to do it alone though, so you either invite people over or you get a group to go out with you since there's a large volume of this stuff.
